Hello. Beautiful and happy:

burnt-out stressed out,

00:30

overwhelmed, just done.

This is why I was so encouraged to come on and record this bonus episode, because I just wanted to speak to you today. If this is you, if you are just feeling really stuck and like, where do I go next? What do I do? But I think we just need to take it back a step and think what we've actually been through as working moms, as moms, even over the last two years, we have dealt with the most unprecedented circumstances

01:00

and now more than ever, we are expecting, okay, well, surely life is going to get back to some sort of normality, but it is anything but normal.

Yes. We're expected to go about our business as if it's normal, but it's not because at a moment's notice school could be shut down. Your kids sent home, wear masks, don't wear masks, the government seems to want to do whatever it wants to do. And we're all just expected to crack on, get boosted, not boosted, whatever your thought.

There's so many opinions flying around and we are just burned out.

01:30

to find the joy. My word for:

And that's because when I was actually reflecting and sort of spending some time thinking about 2021 journaling over the Christmas period, I just think it's the perfect time to really just get it all down. And if you haven't done it

02:00

yet, you can still do it now. I mean, you just literally need a notebook, a pen.

and just throw it all down on paper all your thoughts, don't worry about whether it makes any sense, but get it all out of you. And for me, I was reflecting that really the last five years have been pretty crazy and intense for us as a family. We've been through IVF, we've been through miscarriage. We've been through death of really close, loved ones.

We moved counties. We've started our lives. Again, new jobs, all sorts of traumatic life events.

02:30

Coming at us. And I just think nowadays we just, we don't ever stop to reflect, which is right. Okay. Crack on onto the next thing. And we don't allow ourselves to sit with that uncomfortable feeling with that grief or that sorrow or the fact that life isn't always going to be peaches and cream.

We know this, certainly, we know this now, but actually, I still think that within that there is the opportunity for us to find the joy, and what that looks like is literally finding something for you, something that's positive that you can focus on.

03:00

I was speaking to someone yesterday who was feeling just a little bit lost with things.

And when we actually unpacked that in a clarity call, which is something that I offered to anyone in my audience, it's a free, no obligation. Just jump on, have a chat with me. I really it's just my joy to get people unstuck. And what we reflected on is the fact that. She used to do a lot quite creatively, and now it doesn't do anything that feeds her soul.

So it was as simple as her going from,

03:30

oh, like what do I do to actually, I'm going to book a course at the local college and I'm just going to do something fun for me for you know, a six week period once a week, and that's what she's going to do. And already the message I've received from her is just, oh, thank you so much.

That's helped me so much. I feel so energized and it doesn't need to be that you need to go and book yourself on a course, but maybe it's that you want to reach out to a friend, maybe it's that you want to have that weekly walking date in your diary, whether you go alone or you invite a friend

04:00

to come with you, whether it's that you want to.

Whatever it is. It's so personal. I don't want to give too many examples because I really want to make it your thing. But what it does need to do is chase the joy for you. It needs to ignite and spark because once we start to do that thing, we start to feel better. We start to build our confidence back up. We start to feel energized, and that is what's going to renew us in this season, in this winter season.

And it's okay. It's okay that

04:30

ple of months at the start of:

But at the same time, let's find the joy. Let's find the thing that's going to spark the flame that is going to take us forward. Yeah, that was just what I wanted to come on and encourage you today. So let me know if that resonates,

05:00

reach out to me, drop me a DM an email. And please, please, please book a clarity to chat with me.

The link is in the show notes. It's a 30-minute call. We can get you unstuck. I promise. And I look forward to talking to you on the next bonus episode. Speak soon. Lovely. Bye.
