Hello thriver and welcome to episode 10 of season four of the thriving woman project archives. I know frequently and I'm so delighted to have you here today. We are gonna get purchased on a realtor business and marketing episode because

::

I'm gonna be sharing my four business trends that you will be looking out for this 2024 These are things that I've been speaking to people reading industry guides and you know putting into all the top gurus in the marketing and business world. These are the things that I am increasingly seeing more and more of and I really feel like we can be using to absolutely maximize our businesses compared to what because let's be honest, like we're not really charities yet. As much as I love my charity work. We're in business to have influence to make a difference. You know, so many of us are hearts, hearts, open leaders that want to impact and help people grow especially in the wellness space. But we also want to generate great profits because you know, great profits money in the right hands and used appropriately and wisely is just so so powerful and I really believe that we can absolutely explode and change the world with more and more more women creating more profit, more revenue and more impact in the world. So this is really why I wanted to cover these four top tips for you today and the business trends that you want to looking out for because I know that you deserve to build a thriving business that you love that gives you passion that gives you purpose and that also generates great profits. So let's get stuck in to this whole business plan.

::

So Trend number one micro communities and micro influencers on the rise, haven't gone on the days that you have to have a big following to make an online business work. People are not looking for smaller communities and help from a wide range of people. They are looking for people that are really focused on a niche on an area of expertise. So it's not necessarily the size of the community. But they're looking for people that really speak to the pain points that they experienced, you know, they are looking for solutions and services that are gonna help them to level up in their lives because wellness is such a boring trade, which we'll talk more about in a sec. But honestly, coaching specifically is here to stay it is as hot as ever, and it's not mainstream to ask for help which is something that I love about the modern world we

::

live in things that I don't enjoy, but one of the things I love is that there is more ownership on people to grow develop themselves and their skills their person and that is why coaching is here to stay. So how you can up into this trend is talk to your audience more whether you have 50 505,000 or 50,000 subscribers, followers, members, whatever, make an effort to show up no matter the size of your audience. You know for me, that's been on Instagram reels and on my Facebook business page and it's really paying off for you that might be your email list your Facebook group, tick tock or whatever you you know hang out with your audience on. It's really thinking about how you can truly connect with people. And as I say it's not about the audience size because actually the statistics show that those accounts with a lower following actually get better engagement, more real conversations with their audience. Don't worry about these you know, people that you see 100,000 followers plus, it's not about the audience size. Actually, if you go and look at the numbers, you'll see that they're a lot of their reels and stuff have quite like a low interaction rate on them.

::

So don't let that put you off. Just get out there show up. Talk to your audience engage within usual stories, ask questions, send polls, like ask people what they want, they will tell you people love you to ask them questions about themselves. People love talking about themselves. So this is an ideal way to do that. Trend number two people want more off the cuff authenticity. The over filtered, polished look of 2015 to 2020 is so over, thank goodness and that's maybe one of the reasons you are a little bit cut off, getting out there and showing your face on social media or putting that podcast out or starting that YouTube channel whatever it is, but it's not just in visual feeds. It's in writing, it's in podcasting. It's in blogging, people want conversations with real humans. And this is where like, I caveat a bit with AI because I absolutely love artificial intelligence solutions like magic, right and Canva or chatty. BTW to give you inspiration for your content. But the only worry with that is that, you know, you can always tell like when it's an AI generated content, it's not real. It's not spoken from the heart.

::

So absolutely use these tools to leverage your time and to help you create content that makes sure that you're putting your voice to it, and that you're making it sound like it's you like it's a real human. Aim to sound like you're talking to a friend. This is how you can hop onto it like not writing a corporate pamphlet when engaging with you know your audience think about, you know, what's going to speak to them talk like you talk, you know the amount of times I think I could have been so much more polished than that podcast, or maybe I should re record or something. Actually, I never had that thought. I'm always just like, What You See Is What You Get, I'm going to show up. I'm going to talk to you. I'm going to deliver I'm gonna chat to you like you're a mate. I do. I absolutely love talking to you and just speaking to you like I do every day and how I speak to my clients and my coaching clients, etc. So be more EU in 2024 Tip number three, Trend number three, health education is evolving. So it's no longer Dr. Google that people go to it's actually looking, you know how people use social media and this is a big trend in that sort of 18 to 24 users face.

::

But honestly, I got more feedback from this one reel that I did last year and I'll link to it in the show notes and I have from any other short form video that I've ever, ever done. And I was simply sharing from my heart about something that people don't know about perimenopause and the symptoms around it. And actually some statistics here in the UK around, you know, women taking their own lives. And obviously it was quite potentially triggering content, but it was real and I shared it from my heart and oh my goodness, I think when I looked the other day, it was something like 400,000 views on that and I've lost track of the comments. Actually, it was quite stressful when it went viral because it was like literally replying to all the comments. But every now and then it goes on a bit of a run and then I get a flurry of comments that I need to reply to but honestly, going through the comments and reading what people

::

were saying and interacting that is all the content for me and my health coaching business because that is some way that I can re engage and answer their questions. And they're actually addressing sort of a lot of frequently asked questions. And another way that you can do that is if you go and look at sort of a specific topic, go and look in Amazon and go and look at books and read the reviews on those books. Honestly like the reviews will give you all the content, the verbiage like what your audience is actually saying like to you in those comments. So use those as tools. So if you're in the health and wellness space and you truly believe that true health is specific to the individual, then this is your time to shine. I know people are excited to enter a paradigm of talking about things like perimenopause and that health and women's health and all these kinds of things. So, how you can hop onto it is for example what something I've done is I have a guide, and I have a webinar that I offer to educate people more and online videos to help people grow and evolve on their personal wellness journey. So off the back of that reel.

::

I have created those resources and I've created what's called an evergreen funnel. I've set that up to be like forever basically. So people whenever they see any other content that I post, they can come into my world see that I've got the guy download that get some follow up emails from me on that. And that's where I can share my solutions my offers for my business with them. So, again, this is just think about like, how you can educate people in a fun, innovative kind of way that suits your personality, your business style and everything that you want to create for it and where you can use automation as much as possible to make your life easier for yourself and just to have that funnel set up to keep bringing leads into your world on a weekly daily basis. So that you're always filling your funnel up with people because we know that with the conversion rates, you're already ever going to convert on any offering that you put out there at one to 2% of your total audience size and that's people on your email list not your social media. So thinking about bringing people from your social media which absolutely has a prime place to fill people into your funnel,

::

nurture them, give them value, your sort of ongoing weekly comms, etc. to them. Such a great place to build community to build trust and then you know you've got when you've got an offering you're going to convert then that audience size at one to 2% So my fourth business trend for you to watch this year is affiliate marketing. It is here to stay honestly I have seen so much cool stuff in this space. And it's quite funny actually, because many of you will know that I have a business as an independent consultant with health and wellness brand Arbonne International. I've been using their products now for over 12 years. And it's something that I'm so happy and so delighted to recommend on my social media to my clients for supplements and nutrition. Products that helped me thrive on a day to day basis. And when I think about it, like this was the original affiliate marketing, because it was the whole idea of you use something that you feel passionate about, you recommend it to other people and they go on to order. I use those products you know, accordingly and you know this has enabled me over time to build a really strong client base who are ordering the nutritional and skincare products and repeat every month, every few months or whatever it is.

::

And this is an obvious way to add a healthy revenue stream to your bottom line and your business. So think about your business and what affiliate partnerships would make the most sense for you to align to maybe you I don't know recommend things and you know you can sign up as an Amazon affiliate and you can link to things on Amazon you know books or cooking stuff that you use or you know any products that you buy Amazon is great, you know you can do that. It's not necessarily as higher commission as you would earn then with something like as a consultant with Arbonne because the Commission's there are very generous, but still it all helps it all adds up. But another way that I've seen this in the last year Evolve is how you know people some of the people in my my thriving this club are like we joke with they were like you're such an influence in our by the way they because they are getting approached by brands so they don't have big audiences. They like have maybe a few 1000 followers. One of my clients has 15,000 followers that she's built up through, you know, her account silver linings, and it's all about thriving in your 50s and she was actually approached by a really cool brand last year to actually go at Christmas time drive around London in a pink limo and be Mrs. Claus.

::

And you know, be able to affiliate to that brands and get paid to actually share something that she really loves and is happy to endorse so there are so many phenomenal opportunities nowadays in that space. In companies are wanting to pay people to do this stuff and you can also take matters into your own hands if you're not getting you know people knocking down your door to get you to do to be a brand ambassador for them. You can actually choose what brands that you want to align to and you know I even have it in my own thriving this club when when people recommend someone to join the Club. I pay a very generous, generous referral fee to those members of the club that are referring my product to other people because I absolutely want to reward the people that are making those genuine recommendations of something that they use value and trust. So that is something to be on the lookout for. So how to hop onto this look at your business or your business model you want to have and think about how you can add a stream of recommending revenue to what you absolutely love to do because that is going to be so powerful and help you explode your business. In 2024.

::

And just further to those four trends that I'm seeing, I just want to add a further few thoughts on things like the community thing for me is such a powerful one like nowadays. We are just seeing that this world is I mean we've never been more connected as a society but we've never felt more lonely and disconnected. So any way that you can build community like for me, I have that with a thriving woman project which is the umbrella brand and with under which my health coaching business. It's thriving this pub with my marketing businesses, and it's all around empowering women to thrive in all areas of their life health business. So think about what set community that you are creating with your business. Because that is so powerful and it's driving people into their community, whether that's a Facebook group or your email list, like making sure as well that you are owning that data that you're getting people

::

social media into your email list and you know how passionate about I am about that subject and it's why I recently did a whole episode on why email marketing is so worth it and why you absolutely need to have it in your strategy plan for 2024. Another thing is people really looking at social media and really just stripping back less is more so just picking one maybe two platforms that they're going to focus on this year as opposed to trying to do them all. So we obviously see some big trends right now in the space of you know, like tick tock is that one of the fastest growing platforms, but also not to be overlooked is law of LinkedIn sitting over there in the corner because that platform gives you more engagement and more reach than any other social media platform out there right now. So if you think that's just the boring corporate types, trust me it's not it's become a really fun space to be on. So LinkedIn is such a powerful powerful one because whenever you interact with anybody, like their networks can see your comments and people can come to follow you engage with you get to know like and trust you from that.

::

So putting sort of meaningful commentary not necessarily always having to contribute, but contributing to comments and conversation. Absolutely. And Instagram is actually I'm finding starting to drop down the list and some of you may have seen like, you know, Shadow banning and seeing things where you know, your reach isn't as high with Instagram anymore. And I definitely think there's a lot more to be done around Instagram and it's definitely one that I'm going to be focusing less on this year even though it's the one that I actually really enjoy using. But one that you know is not to be overlooked. And I you know actually read about this the other day, and top industry mentor was saying, Do not underestimate Facebook and the power of Facebook and actually the other day, you know, because of this viral reel and everything that happened that actually happened over on Facebook. I have over 10,000 followers on my business page now I was like if I had 10,000 Instagram followers I'd be like shouting from the rooftops but not to be overlooked.

::

So I'm gonna be spending a lot more time over on Facebook this year, engaging with my audience, inviting people to join our thriving woman Project Facebook community, which is free for women, and really just nurturing people through the power of Facebook. There have been talks about people sort of pulling back on X, Twitter, whatever you call it, and Pinterest, although I would say was certain businesses especially in the wellness space, or if you have like a design business or interiors or your stylists definitely don't pull back on Pinterest. I'm actually putting more effort back into Pinterest which I did that the first part of last year, which really built sort of great traction to my website and was a great way and a medium evergreen medium by the way because your personal Instagram to stick on tomorrow. But actually when you post on Pinterest, that content just like blogs just like Podcasts can be available for you know someone could find it in 10 years time. So it's a really valuable you know, when you think about working smarter, not working busier, investing in those SEO driven platforms like YouTube, like Pinterest,

::

which actually search engines rather than being social media platforms where people actually go to look at information to be able to do the things that they want to do. So if you're someone who enjoys doing Instagram reels and being on video, we'll think about translating that over on to YouTube shorts because you actually get a bigger reach. And I'm saying this with full accountability for the fact that that's absolutely going to be my focus for this next year. So you can hold me accountable to that to showing up more on YouTube, LinkedIn, and also Pinterest and Facebook as my core platforms. Now you might be like but when do you say just focus on like one or two, and I've got four there, but I've been doing this potentially a lot longer than you have. And I've got really good at repurposing my content, which is something that I teach all about in the thriving this club. And so, yes, I have more capacity and more skill to be able to do that. So don't worry. Let me do my thing. You're just focused on those one to two core platforms that you're going to focus on for this year. And we can both crack on and see you get the best results from that.

::

So let's have a little wager on that. So yes, I hope that that has really helped you today just to really get a little bit of clarity around the trends where the markets moving, what people are doing in 2024 and where you can focus your time and attention because often I just see business owners going out there producing content, adding value, you know, putting it there on social media, but they don't have that actually a call to action. They don't have some way with a driving people ie the email list or, you know, engaging drop me a DM you know, comment on this, whatever. So, I really want to encourage you with anything that you do this year, any content that you create any marketing, social media platforms, whatever you're doing that you're making sure that you're making it super crystal clear for people to know how to engage with your business, how to actually buy from you and what you offer them. And remember, it's not so much about the you know what, and all the logistics of things. It's actually about the transformation that you can deliver to people. So, you know, an example for me, I could 100% Sit here and go well the thriving, this club is brilliant.

::

You get the four modules in your monthly group coaching when you get a WhatsApp group or all the little and all the things. Everyone's like, okay, great. So what whereas actually when I can demonstrate the transformation, which I do through sharing testimonials, sharing the community, which is something that I feel like it's the best product of the club, on my socials on my landing page that I have for people to learn more about the club like bringing that to life, you know, addressing the fact that are you a business owner that feels overwhelmed by all the tech stuff not knowing like what to do how to do it when to post it. Like what's even valid, all the things. Are you just feeling completely like you're stuck in analysis paralysis? Well, the frightening this club will move you forward, put your instrument momentum. Get your digital marketing ducks in a row for 2024 Do you see what I mean? It's like speak to the pain points of that person. Like are you stuck with what to post? Like? Have you got an email list that you've posted and not you know, emails and a couple of years it's like it's addressing those things that are really tangible for people in order to bring your offering to life. So that's another little tip for you.

::

There is really think of, you know, the what and the why and what the transformation is. And how is them coming to work with you? Is them actually paying for your goods and services. them actually taking you up on your solution and your offer and remembering and this is these are tips that I shared in my email marketing episode. It's always about the you and the yours are making it about the person you're talking to not Oh, you know, I'm Wendy. I've got like 20 years corporate experience and I've been running my business for like 12 years and you know, blah blah blah and I've got this diploma in that degree and I can do marketing on my head or whatever it is, like, think about the person like speak to the person, how are you helping them? People don't necessarily care about all you know, the staff, they actually just care about how you're going to help them. Remember we're living in an empowered generation now people want help so tell them how you can help them and make it about them.

::

You know, people are all just walking around with a big sign on their head that says make me feel special. To make your audience feel special. Make them feel like you really understand and that's when you know reading those comments on your social media posts go into like the book reviews at Amazon, reading what people are actually saying and speaking to those pain points is going to empower you to build such an incredible and thriving business.
